Decoding the Disciplines: supporting the university study experience through a game-based model

Abstract

Improving education and training systems is one of the main objectives of the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (“ET 2020”). In this regard, the methodological approach of Decoding the Disciplines allows teachers to act strategically in order to improve the teaching and learning process, focusing on issues that are often the cause of student failure. The present paper refers to a doctoral research, that is still on-going, which, by focusing on the construction of a game-based model of didactic support, intends to enhance the students’ university experience and is particularly connected to the Decoding the Disciplines approach.
